Hi there, I'm 60 and have experienced the typical weight and other issues associated with menopause, although always have been overweight. I have diabetes in my family so keen to avoid my insulin resistance getting worse. I've tried keto a few years back and did well, but shifting weight seems to be so much harder now. Watched/read a LOT of carnivore information so thought I would give it a try. I take a couple of short walks daily and weight train 2 x week. I'd really love to see if it's true about reversing brain fog!!!!! This seems to be a great community, I never usually get involved as such, but this time it seems right. All the best everyone. 😊

I'm watching the salt challenge replay, it mentions putting salt in water and drinking it. My mum used to give me warm salty water to make me vomit if I was nauseous. 🤢 If I have even one or two grains of coarse salt on their own, I get immediate very very intense nausea, so I learned that lesson. Guess it's salt on my food only for me. 🙂

I watched the replay of the Dr Hampton session, he has such an engaging and warm style 🙂. I learnt so many very practical things. Thank you for asking my question Rina, great response from Dr Hampton, which is very helpful.

Tried to ask this question to support in the chat, that doesn't seem to be working either.

Hi everyone, can someone remind me what it is about caffeine that's is bad, is it cortisol that it affects? I know it was shared in a recent meeting but can't quite recall. I'm doing decaf now, never had issues with caffeine but still trying the challenge. Thanks 😊

Finally, some results to share. My doctor says I’ve reversed my T2 and my insulin resistance! Since Nov 24, fasting glucose from 9.2 to 5.3; insulin -serum 14 to 7; HOMA index (insulin resistance?) from 5.7 to 1.6. A1c from 7.2 to 6.0. And I was just about to crank things up a notch- will still do. Been in this group a month - great support!
