Hello, I've been a fairly strict carnivore for a while. A few days ago, I ate a lot of sugar-cured bacon. Since then, my glucose has been elevated for about 4 days. My CGM is consistently showing a range of 90-118 mg/dL, and the two finger-prick tests I took to verify this were higher, around 125. Why does the elevation last for so many days?
continue with a high-fat carnivore approach. A sugar hit can keep glucose up for days, but consistency is what helps insulin resistance improve. Stay steady and your body will correct itself over time.
