I first discovered Carnivore when I watched an interview with Mikaela Peterson, I was fascinated but couldn't imagine myself eliminating Vegetables. I've spent my entire life growing plants, I'm a horticulturist, floral designer and author. But then I realised this is the perfect human diet and I really want to be able to live a healthy life without pain. My goal is to be as pain free as possible, move freely, lose weight, be able to exercise again, live a healthy life for as long as I can. My GP is sceptical, she puts her obese patients on Mounjaro and I asked her 'what's the point if we haven't addressed insulin resistance and thyroid imbalance'. she is a very nice person and I feel she will learn from my example. My chiropractor is very encouraging and so are my close friends because they can see after only 6 weeks the change in my appearance and demeanor, I dont suffer with depression, but this is mood lifting. I've had a lot of health challenges in the past, 30 years ago I had a thoracotomy to remove a very large bronchogenic cyst in the mediastinum. unfortunately during the surgery they removed the Vagus nerve that was involved in the mass, also my esophagus was very damaged so I dont have any peristalsis, which is a challenge when eating any dense foods such as meat, but I'm managing that as best I can. I also found that half my vocal nerves were damaged, however I managed to recover my voice and strengthen the remaining nerves. Im looking forward to feeling better, looking better and recovering my health to the maximum level I can.
